Centenary Celebration Week

We are really excited to be able to thank our wonderful customers by having a week full of giveaways, scratch card prizes, recipes brought back from the Dorringtons archives and loaves of bread for just 1p (1d in old money).

Our Centenary Celebration Week will run from Tuesday 1st October to Saturday 5th October 2019 across all 15 of our shops and 5 snack vans.

The following recipes have been brought back from the Dorringtons archives

• Princess Tarts - Sweet pastry case filled with raspberry jam and franzipan topped with buttercream and a pink fondant icing.
• Walnut Whirls - Sweet pastry case filled with franzipan and topped with a chocolate fudge icing and walnut.
• Paradise Slice - Pastry layer topped with a layer of jam and finished with a thick layer of sponge with sultanas and cherries.

Each of our shops will receive White Cottage Loaves, these will be available for our customers to purchase for just 1p when they spend £5. These will only be available while stocks last.

There will be free cakes available in all of our shops and on our snack vans (only available on the snack vans on Tuesday 1st October). The cakes are a delicious tray bake of plain sponge with vanilla buttercream topped with 100's & 1000's and a celebratory Dorringtons Star. Please ask at your local Dorringtons when they plan to bring their free cakes out as each shop will have a different itineraries and the free cakes are only available whilst stocks last. 

Our novelty biscuits this week celebrate our 100th Birthday and are made from our delicious buttery shortbread topped with handmade plaques.

Scratch Cards - every customer upon a purchase will be offered a Dorringtons Scratch Card. There are various prizes including Sausage Rolls / Vegan Sausage Rolls, Jam Doughnuts and £50 Dorringtons vouchers. The winning scratch cards can then be used to collect any prizes won. The Terms & Conditions of the Scratch Cards are -

One scratch card per customer

Available while stocks last

All prize winning scratch cards must be redeemed by October 31^st 2019 except voucher winners

Dorringtons Voucher winning scratch cards must be redeemed by December 31^st 2019

If your prize has sold out, it will be ordered and reserved for you on the next suitable day

Vouchers must be used in one transaction, no change will be given

Not to be used in conjunction with any other offers

The winning scratch cards have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged

Over £10,000 worth of prizes was calculated using current RRP’s

All of our shops will be decorated with balloons and bunting and we have created a booklet showing an outline of our history from 1919 to 2019 which are available to pick up in all of our shops.
